Surprise Test

The teacher announced a surprise test. We would have only fifteen minutes to complete it. As she handed out the exam it became apparent that there wouldn't be enough time.

We were instructed to read all the questions first. At the end of the allotted time we were to put our pencils down.
I started reading the questions. Some of the students were already writing in answers. I wanted to start entering answers too, but I continued to read all the questions.
The statement on the bottom of the page caught me by surprise. "Now that you have followed directions and read all the questions, you may put your pencil down".
It is important to follow directions.
Following directions is important when following a head lice treatment too. When you follow directions , you get the results you want.
